Planting Wheat Drawing

I have finished up the picture of my brother planting wheat with a four wheeler. I drew the picture and shaded it with straight lines. A good T-square makes it much easier. Anyway, here it is.

Four Wheeler-Spreading Seed

I've been working on a new drawing. Its different from anything else I've done in the past. Instead of shading in a normal manner I have drawn straight lines to indicate shading. I've been thinking about doing something on scratchboard. So I decided to do a test with pencil and paper before I went right to scratchboard.

The picture is of Brian Holden working to improve the environment. He is spreading his seed deep in the Ozark Mountains. Come November the deer won't stand a chance.

Latest Drawing-Gibson Guitar

This a drawing for someone who works in my office. She is going to be using it as a gift for her husband. It's his favorite guitar. Apparently the music in the background are the notes to a song used in their wedding. Its on 11x14 inch paper with H to 2B pencils.

I have been practicing taking pictures of my drawings. I think I have improved a little. When I was practicing I found an old sketch pad with some drawings. Most of these were drawn for a high school art class. Here they are.

Here is another drawing that I recently completed. Its an old Farmall tractor located next to a barn. One of these days I will get a program that allows me to better crop my pictures.

First Entry- Douglas MacArthur

This is my first attempt at setting up a blog. I'm planning on putting up drawings that I'm working on or have finished. I just finished up a drawing of Douglas MacArthur. It's complete with the cool hat, sunglasses, and pipe.
